The FAST SLOW Concept

Building houses out of bio-based materials (earth, clay, sand, straw and hemp) has a low carbon footprint, is DIY friendly, helps create communities and increases personal and planetary wellbeing.

Despite this, currently to build with these materials it is time consuming and expensive. So, to make bio-based houses more efficient to build, and affordable for more people, we introduce the FAST SLOW house.

The FAST SLOW house is a high performance FAST prefabricated DIY timber framed kit home, which home builders can quickly assemble, enabling them time to SLOW down and fill the frame with earth, and fit out the interior.

The FAST SLOW Mission

Our aim is to streamline the approval and construction process. Eventually code-marking both the framing system and infill, to make natural building more available to more people

The FAST SLOW system provides solutions to the housing and sustainability crisis, while creating a platform that promotes both builder and occupant wellbeing.
